Learn by Doing, transform by living

We believe that the most important capacities for life are developed through experience.

FOREST SCHOOL

Living Education for children and young people

The Forest School is an educational program based on direct experience, play, exploration, and constant contact with nature. We believe children learn best when they can touch, experiment, observe, and take an active part in the processes that sustain life.

So we turn the land into a place of learning, where trails become classrooms, gardens become laboratories, and the community becomes a constant source of knowledge.

Through hands-on activities, children and young people develop capacities related to:

  • Agriculture and food production
  • Ecology and biodiversity
  • Emotional intelligence
  • Collaborative work
  • Art and creativity
  • Life skills and trades
  • Observation and critical thinking
  • A conscious relationship with the land

Our purpose is to support the growth of children and young people so they can understand, care for, and relate in the best possible way to the living systems on which their lives and future generations depend.

More than passing on information, we aim to create experiences that inspire real change in how people relate to themselves, to others, and to nature.

VOLUNTEERING

Learning through experience

Volunteering is an invitation to become an active part of everyday life at La Pacha. We welcome people from Ecuador and abroad who want to learn while contributing to processes of territorial regeneration, education, and community building.

Volunteers take part in activities such as:

  • Gardens and agroforestry systems
  • Natural building
  • Education and supporting activities
  • Ecological conservation and restoration
  • Community cooking
  • Maintaining the spaces
  • Organizing events and workshops

In return, they receive a complete experience that includes:

  • Accommodation
  • Meals
  • Hands-on training
  • Mentorship
  • Community life
  • Cultural exchange

Volunteering isn’t just a way to support a project. It’s an opportunity to develop new skills, build meaningful connections, and experience more collaborative and conscious ways of living.

Would you like to volunteer at La Pacha?

Every seed planted, every piece of knowledge shared, and every experience lived is part of the same purpose: building better conditions for future generations.

We invite you to take part, to learn, and to walk alongside us.
